Baby Braxton

Introducing Braxton Val Christensen. Two months later, but I figure better late than never. He was born June 27, 8lbs 4 oz, 20 inches long. I'll give a real quick run down of his story before the picture overload.

I had to be induced again because my due date came and went without any progress at all. We went in at 7am and they started the Pit. Nothing really happened at all so at noon they broke my water, and then the contractions started right up. At about 3 I got my epidural. I LOVE epidurals:) In fact it made me a little loopy, and I was so relaxed and comfortable. Then all of a sudden I started feeling the contractions on one side...and they kept getting worse and worse and worse. Then I started feeling them on the other side...and they were getting worse and worse and worse. They gave me 3 more doses of the epidural and nothing was working. The anesthesiologist had to go into surgery, but they told me he would be out at 6 pm and would come re due my epidural completely...so I just had to get to 6.- I didn't make it to 6.- So lets just say the labor went from total relaxation to complete anxiety as I came to the realization that I was delivering this baby naturally! At 5:55 I started pushing and he was born at 6:14. I can now sign my name on the delivered naturally list, but I never want to sign it again. I don't have to wonder anymore if I could actually do it and what it would really feel like:) And it was like adding insult to injury when I paid the epidural bill....hopefully next time i'll actually get what I paid for:)

Thanks to Marcs sister Sydney, we got some cute picts of little Braxton. He is such a good baby and we cant imagine not having him here. Tyson absolutely thinks he is the coolest thing in the world and is the best big brother ever!

This was Braxton's baby blessing day. Marc gave him an amazing blessing, and we had a great day spending time with family and our friends Austin and Elda who drove all the way from Logan for it. Thanks to everyone for making Braxtons day so special!

(side note- we actually have Internet now. Our neighbors cut down about ten pine trees this summer and now we can get an Internet signal in our house!!! I"m so excited to be connected to the outside world again and hopefully will now average more than a post a year:))
